The influence of nanowires on the human cell membrane

The results of the research in Bolesławiec became interested in the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Wrocław, Ms. Joanna Petrus from Lubliniec is conducting research for her doctoral dissertation in cooperation with the Nantes company.

She received a grant from the European Social Fund for her research project.

Joanna Petrus writes her thesis on the influence of phenothiazine derivatives on the properties and structure of a model biological membrane, and therefore has experience in studying the influence of various compounds on the physicochemical state of a model biological membrane. Including investigates the influence of nanowires on cellular infiltration. Simplifying, it is, among others, about how water, after changing its structure in the Low-Temperature Plasma Reactor, affects the membrane of human cells, i.e. it allows other substances to penetrate this membrane.

- The results of my research will allow for further work on the use of nano-water in the production of, for example, drugs - says Joanna Petrus.
